HISTORY, EXPANSION AND GROWTH
Umgungundlovu TVET College Richmond Indaleni Community Development Skills Centre idea can be traced back as early as in 2010, when the Indaleni Alumni Association and the Methodist Church took a decision to donate the Methodist Land to Umgungundlovu TVET College for development. The Indaleni Training College used to provide Teacher Training, as well as specializing in Arts and Crafts Education in Kwa-Zulu Natal Province. However, with the establishment of Indumiso Teachers Training College (now known as Durban University Technology) in the mid- eighties (80’s), most of the Training at Indaleni Mission started to slow down. The Centre was later used for other projects, including the School for the Deaf, which is currently running at the nearby school. There is also the Indala High School as well as the Lower Primary adjacent to the former site of Indaleni Training College.
