4th Industrial Revolution Centre
4IR centre at Plessislaer campus is almost complete. It will house a footwear making workshop, embroidery workshop and a PLC Lab.
Innovation Hub and Robotics Lab
Innovation Hub at Richmond –Indaleni Campus is training students in Entreneurship skills as well the use of laser machines, 3D printer technology and embroidery.
Robotics lab at Richmond–Indaleni Campus will train small groups of students in robotics and drone technology
E-Commerce Training for students:
The College, in partnership with Bankseta and Chinese Culture, is training College students on E-commerce Online. The training will assist our students in joining the ever growing online global market. The training programme is offered via an online platform with the facilitators in China.
Financial Management Training
The Partnership and Linkages Department in partnership with FNB hosted a Financial Management workshop for the Electrical Apprentices and Garment Making students. The aim of the training was to encourage students to start their own businesses and to give students sound financial planning tools, for personal and business finance. Snethemba Mlambo and Senzo Myeni from FNB presented this workshop. Simtholile Myeni from Msunduzi Municipality LED desk gave students advice on how to register a business.
Ms Nothiswa Siswana, an engineering student, is in China completing her Electronic Information Science and Technology qualification.
